Mark McGhee feels Aberdeen may have ended their Scottish Cup hoodoo after a 'determined' draw at Raith Rovers.

The Dons looked to be heading out of the competition at the hands of lower league opposition, with McGhee's men 1-0 behind heading into stoppage time.

But a last-gasp equaliser from Gary McDonald earned Aberdeen a replay and the manager was delighted that his squad were given a break.

McGhee insisted to the Evening Express: "The lads showed real guts and determination to save us so maybe that's a sign that Aberdeen's cup luck is changing at long last."
