Miller predicts bright future

AberdeenDirector of football Willie Miller has insisted there is "no crisis" at Aberdeen and has called on fans to get behind Jimmy Calderwood.

The Pittodrie club lost at home to Hibernian at the weekend and are rock bottom of the SPL, but Aberdeen legend Miller is optimistic they can turn the corner.

"There is no crisis," Miller said. "Aberdeen may be bottom of the league but the SPL is very tight.

"We have seven points and are only six behind the third-placed team.

"The fans are rightly disappointed because we are a team which should be in Europe and fighting near the top of the table."

He added: "Hopefully the fans will be patient and give Jimmy Calderwood and the players time to turn it around because the team will haul itself out of this slump."
