Paul Cook is refusing to set any grand aims for the remainder of this season and beyond at Accrington.

Cook, 44, was unveiled as successor to John Coleman in a press conference at the Crown Ground on Wednesday morning.

Stanley currently lie three points shy of the npower League Two play-off places having won seven and lost two of their past 11 games, and new boss Cook believes that a complete focus on the next match will see the long-term take care of itself.

"The target is just to win the next game," he said. "It's simple, football.

"I don't set players targets and I don't set myself targets because sometimes if you don't achieve them you think you've failed, and sometimes you might be setting them too low.

"We want to win every football game, we want to play attractive football and we want to entertain people. We will do our utmost in every game that this football club takes part in."
