Atletico Madrid president Enrique Cerezo has blasted reports suggesting they have made a move to sign Arsenal star Santi Cazorla.
Cazorla only joined the Gunners last summer but that has not stopped speculation suggesting he could be set for a sharp return to La Liga with Atletico.
Reports in the Spanish media claimed that representatives from Atletico were in London attempting to wrap up a deal but Cerezo says that is not the case and the story has been 'invented'.
"We have no news of Cazorla," he revealed. "These are invented stories that are made up every day."
The versatile Spaniard scored 12 goals and provided 16 assists for the Gunners following his August move from Malaga and Arsene Wenger will not entertain the idea of cashing in on him.
