Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas has played down suggestions Yoann Gourcuff could move to Arsenal before the transfer deadline.
Arsene Wenger has long been linked with a move for the midfielder and fresh reports over the last couple of days have suggested a move could be on the cards.
Aulas admits that anything can happen in football but still believes a move to the Emirates Stadium this summer is unlikely.
"I do not think that Gourcuff will go to Arsenal, but in football anything is possible," Aulas has been quoted as saying.
Wenger appears to have switched his attention to Yohan Cabaye at Newcastle for now but could return to Gourcuff if he fails to land the Magpies star.
