Battle on for Potters ace

Arsenal are continuing to show an interest in Asmir Begovic but will face a big battle to land the Stoke keeper in the summer.

The Potters are set to cash in on Begovic in the summer following the arrival of Jack Butland from Birmingham on deadline day, and a host of top clubs are keen to sign him.

Arsenal are one of them as boss Arsene Wenger looks to draft in a new goalkeeper in the summer to challenge and possibly replace current number one Wojciech Szczesny.

However Manchester United are said to be favourites as they look to replace David De Gea, who has struggled to make an impact at Old Trafford since arriving from Atletico Madrid.

The Reds are said to be lining up an £8million move but Stoke could demand almost double that for the Bosnia Herzegovina international, who is rated as one of the best keepers in the Premier League.
