Chelsea join race for Barca ace

Chelsea have entered the race for Barcelona starlet Antonio Sanabria and hope to pip Arsenal to the player's signature.

The highly-rated 17-year-old is reported to have rejected the offer of a new contract with the Catalan giants and that could open the door for a move to England.

Sanabria still has 18 months left to run on his current deal but there is a buy-out clause in it meaning any club that offers £2.5million are in with a chance of doing a deal.

Arsenal were reported to be leading the race, ahead of Italian outfit AS Roma, but Chelsea are now in the hunt for his services and could hijack any potential swoop.
