Arsene Wenger says Arsenal will 'give everything' to be in the Champions League next season after bowing out against Bayern Munich.

The Gunners pulled off a fantastic 2-0 victory in the Allianz Arena on Wednesday night but it proved to be too little too late as they crashed out on the away goal rule following Bayern's 3-1 victory in the first leg.

Wenger was left to rue the sloppy errors that cost the Gunners dear in the first leg, but he also took the positives out of last night's win and says it is full steam ahead as they look to finish in the top four.

"Positives, of course, were the performance and the spirit," he revealed. "The clean sheet and overall defensively we were very good. We lost some balls off some situations which frustrated at times.

"I am confident we will give everything to come back next season. Our young players done very well lets finish well this season strongly.

"We played against one of the best teams in Europe. The spirit and the performance was there we had a great go. My regret from first game is that we conceded a cheap goal in the last five minutes when we could lose 2-1 at home.

"You can see how important that goal was tonight."
