Adam Maher has ruled out a potential move to Arsenal this summer and says he wants to stay in Holland if he does leave AZ Alkmaar.

The Gunners have been heavily linked with a move for the 19-year-old and reports claimed a summer move to the Emirates Stadium could be on the cards.

However Maher does not want to move to the Premier League at this stage in his career and would instead prefer to join PSV Eindhoven or Ajax in his homeland.

"In the summer I expect there will be a realistic bid. It is certain that I will be leaving," Maher revealed. "I have already said that I do not want to go [to Arsenal]. I want a good stay in the Netherlands, at least another two to three years - I am only 19.

"PSV is a nice club, but on the other hand I live in Amsterdam. Last summer and last winter I indicated I want to go to PSV, but PSV was the only club that wanted to sign me. But I can also play for Ajax [too]."
