FC Twente have failed in an attempt to sign Arsenal striker Nicklas Bendtner after failing to match his salary demands.
The 25-year-old has been on the Gunners' books since 2005 but has never really established himself as a regular first-team player.
The Denmark international hitman has scored 22 league goals from 99 appearances for the north Londoners but has been sent out on loan in each of his last two seasons, with spells at Sunderland and Serie A champions Juventus.
He failed to impress at either club and did not score a goal for the Old Lady in just nine league appearances last term.
Arsenal are desperate to offload the frontman and Twente were keen but could not match the player's demands and he is now believed to be in talks with Malaga.
