Arsenal are reported to be dragging their heals over a move for Everton midfielder Marouane Fellaini and could end up missing out.
Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is keen to land the Belgium international but will have to match the £24million buy-out clause in his contract if he is to strike a deal.
Despite pledging to spend big this summer, reports claim that Arsenal are reluctant to pay that much for the midfielder, who is also a target for Chelsea and Manchester United.
Everton boss Roberto Martinez says he is not concerned about the situation as Fellaini is under contract but there is a very good chance he will leave if a rival gets the cheque book out.
The 25-year-old is said to be keen on a move to London but a switch to Arsenal looks to be in doubt as Wenger is reluctant to break the bank to land him.
