Forward Robin van Persie is tipped to follow a host of Arsenal's youngsters by agreeing a new deal this summer.
England Under-21 left-back Kieran Gibbs became the latest player to sign a new long-term contract at the Emirates on Friday.
The 19-year-old joins Theo Walcott, Lukasz Fabianski, Aaron Ramsey and Jack Wilshere in pledging his future to the Emirates outfit and he will now get the chance to push Gael Clichy all the way for a start.
Gunners boss Arsene Wenger said: "He made a great impact last season and the progress he made was fantastic.
"He is an intelligent player with huge quality and he proved last season with his performances that he has great potential.
"We are delighted that Kieran has committed his future to Arsenal and we are all excited to watch his future development at the club."
Van Persie remains in talks with the club but should re-sign in the near future, according to reports.
