Four-way fight for Sagna

Last Updated: Fri, 14 Feb 2014 16:24

Italian giants Inter Milan will be forced to battle it out with Monaco, Galatasaray and Arsenal for the services of Bacary Sagna.

Sagna's current deal with the Gunners is set to run out at the end of the season and there have yet to be any negotiations between the player and the club.

It has been reported by the Metro newspaper that the France international is high on the list of Inter boss Walter Mazzarri, who is keen to try and rebuild the reputation of the San Siro club.

However, Mazzarri is expected to face stern competition for the 31-year-old with big-spending Monaco and Turkish side Galatasaray also looking to try and take advantage of his contract situation.

It is understood that the Serie A outfit have already made an approach for the full-back but talks stalled after Sagna demanded €5million per season.

It is yet to be seen whether the north London club will enter talks with the defender about the possibility of retaining his services.
