Real Madrid forward Kaka and Schalke starlet Julian Draxler are the latest names to be linked with a move to Arsenal.
The Gunners have yet to spend a penny in the transfer market this summer with the free transfer signings of Mathieu Flamini and Yaya Sanogo the only new arrivals to date.
However, with significant funds believed to be at boss Arsene Wenger's disposal, a host of players have been linked with a last minute switch to north London, with Kaka and Draxler now added to that list.
It is believed Wenger has switched his attentions to the pair after becoming frustrated in his attempts to land Yohan Cabaye from Newcastle.
Brazil international Kaka has already stated his desire to leave the Bernabeu before Monday's deadline, with Real equally keen to sell some players in order to fund their world-record purchase of Gareth Bale from Tottenham.
Draxler meanwhile is seen as one of Germany's brightest talents and Schalke are reluctant to let the 19-year-old leave.
They will only sell the Germany international for a fee upwards of £40million and it remains to be seen whether Wenger is prepared to pay such a fee.
