Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is continuing to keep tabs on Schalke midfielder Julian Draxler and Borussia Dortmund's Marco Reus.
The Gunners chief splashed out over £40million on transfer deadline day at the start of this month to take German international Mesut Ozil from Real Madrid.
And it appears he is looking to increase the German contingent at the Emirates Stadium with a move to take one of the two highly-rated midfielders from the Bundesliga in the January transfer window.
Wenger is likely to face competition for 20-year-old Draxler from Italian Serie A giants Juventus who it seems are pondering a £30million bid for his signature. The player recently revealed that he didn't move away from Schalke in the summer because he did not want to harm his chances of playing for Germany in next summer's World Cup so might wait until the end of the season before considering a departure.
Meanwhile, 24-year-old Reus is another player Wenger is watching and, if a move for Draxler fails to materialise, he could make a move for him in the New Year.
