Lyon midfielder Clement Grenier has revealed that a bid from Arsenal has been rejected by the Ligue 1 outfit who are reluctant to sell.
Grenier caught the eye of Gunners boss Arsene Wenger with some spectacular performances in the closing stages of last season and he has been keeping an eye on his situation at Lyon.
Wenger faces a battle to try and agree terms with the side who finished third last term though, as they are eager to retain the man who stepped into the squad to replace the injured Yoann Gourcuff.
The 22-year-old was on the brink of sealing a deal to join Nice last summer but that broke down after club president Jean-Michel Aulas stopped the move in its tracks.
Grenier said: "I know Lyon have rejected an offer from Arsenal. Of course it's flattering that clubs are interested in me.
"It's hard for me to talk about my future now because I'm not yet certain of it. I prefer to wait to be 100% sure of what is going to happen before I do it."
