Arsenal have been linked with a sensational triple swoop for Barcelona's Alexis Sanchez, David Villa and Victor Valdes.
Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is under increasing pressure after yet another season without a major trophy. The London club will go into a ninth year since they last picked up silverware - the 2005 FA Cup.
That has led to speculation regarding Wenger's future at the Emirates Stadium, with some critics suggesting a change at the top is needed to reinvigorate the club.
Wenger himself has dismissed talk of him quitting in the summer and some reports suggest he will be given significant funds to re-build the squad.
Should that be the case then Barca trio Sanchez, Villa and Valdes could well be high on his hitlist.
Reports in the Spanish press suggest Arsenal are heading the queue to sign the stars, who are all expected to leave the Catalan club.
Valdes has already confirmed he intends to leave Barca in summer as he, like Villa, will enter the final year of his contract next season.
With no new deals in the pipeline Barca will be keen to cut their losses on both stars rather than risk losing them on a free transfer in 2014.
Sanchez, meanwhile, has been reportedly made available for transfer after scoring just five goals this term, meaning Arsenal could negotiate a cut-price bargain fee for all three players.
