Arsenal look set to beat Everton to the £12million signing of Feyenoord central midfielder Jonathan de Guzman. However, Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has reportedly made a £12million bid for De Guzman whose style of play has led him to be compared with Manchester United's Owen Hargreaves.
De Guzman recently said that one of his "dream clubs" was Arsenal and that he would be open to a switch to the Emirates Stadium.
"My dream clubs are Arsenal and Barcelona. If clubs of that stature are interested in you then you cannot say no," De Guzman told The Sun.
"I'm certainly open to interest from Arsenal and from what I hear Feyenoord are happy to hear from them as well."
