Arsenal hope to capture Fiorentina forward Stevan Jovetic in a cut-price £15million deal in the summer.
The Gunners were reportedly told they would need to fork out £25million to secure the Montenegro international in January but, according to Sky Italia, La Viola could be convinced to sell for significantly less in the summer.
Fiorentina could attempt to keep hold of the in-demand striker but if Jovetic is to remain with the Serie A side they will almost certainly have to secure Champions League qualification and they currently trail third placed AC Milan by four points with just two games remaining.
Gunners boss Wenger has had Jovetic watched on a number of occasions over the course of the campaign and the 23-year-old is widely considered to be his top target.
However, there has been speculation Arsenal are keen on Manchester City's Edin Dzeko, QPR's Loic Remy and Wilfried Bony of Vitesse Arnhem in recent weeks.
