Arsenal could make a move for Fiorentina striker Stevan Jovetic in the summer, reports have claimed.

Gunners boss Arsene Wenger was in the hunt for a new striker during the January transfer window and the highly-rated Montengro ace was reported to be on his list of targets.

However, a deal failed to materialise as Fiorentina told both Arsenal and Italian champions Juventus that the 23-year-old was not available at any price.

Fiorentina are resigned to the fact that Jovetic will eventually move on and Wenger is in the hunt as he looks to replace Robin van Persie's goals once and for all.
