Arsenal are reported to have joined the race to sign Palermo midfielder Josip Ilicic when the transfer window opens.
Palermo had a tough season that resulted in relegation to Italy's Serie B but the 25-year-old Slovenian attacking midfielder still managed to impress when firing home 10 goals and Europe's top clubs are showing an interest.
There is a good chance Palermo will be forced to cash in during the close season and reports claim that Arsene Wenger is weighing up a swoop as he looks to bolster his midfield.
"Josip Ilicic is a player for big clubs so I really doubt that he will stay with us," Palermo president Maurizio Zamparini said.
"We will have to talk of course but he has already told me that he will leave if he gets an offer from a big club. And I don't doubt that he will get one."
