Arsenal are reported to have resurrected their interest in Manchester City defender Micah Richards ahead of the transfer deadline.
Gunners boss Arsene Wenger has been a long-term admirer of Richards and could now be ready to make a move as he plans a late flurry of transfer activity before September 2nd.
Richards still has two years to run on his current contract at the Etihad Stadium and City have offered him new improved terms in an attempt to keep him on board.
However Richards has yet to sign it and is waiting to see whether he figures in the opening games of the new season, before deciding where his future lies.
Wenger is keen to sign a new defender and as well as Richards, he is also said to be interested in Atletico Madrid full-back Juanfran.
