Arsenal are being linked with a swoop for Olympiakos striker Kostas Mitroglou ahead of the January transfer window opening.

The Greek international has impressed for Olympiakos this season and his form has not gone unnoticed at the Emirates Stadium, where Arsene Wenger is a big admirer.

Mitroglou has helped Olympiakos through to the last 16 of the Champions League, where they will meet Manchester United, but whether he gets to play in that game remains to be seen.

Arsenal could make an offer when the transfer window opens but they will face competition from Liverpool, who are also keeping tabs on his performances.
