Gunners look to Jags

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is still monitoring Everton centre-half Phil Jagielka and considering a renewed offer for the player.

Wenger is reported to have had an original offer of £10m for the former Sheffield United man turned down back in June but he has not given up hope and after losing Sol Campbell to Newcastle he may well be ready to move again.

Everton are desperate to keep hold of all their star players this summer and David Moyes would fight to the bitter end to keep Jagielka who's performances last season brought him international recognition.

Wenger is looking to add to his centre-halfs Thomas Vermaelen, Johan Djourou and new signing Laurent Koscielny at the club.
