Gunners target Valdes

Arsenal are being linked with a move for Barcelona goalkeeper Victor Valdes, who could be on the move for £10million this summer.

Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is not completely happy with Wojciech Szczesny, Vito Mannone or Lukasz Fabianski and is known to want a top quality goalkeeper.

Wenger tried to land Pepe Reina from Liverpool last summer and while the Spaniard could be available at the end of the season, reports claim that Valdes is now his number one target.

The 31-year-old, who has expressed a desire to move to England, is still under contract at the Nou Camp but Barca will let him go if an interested party meet the £10million asking price.

One stumbling block could be the player's wages as he is reported to be on £120,000 per week and Wenger will not be willing to go that high.
