Bayern Munich ace Gustavo has admitted he would be interested in joining Arsenal and a deal is on the verge of going through.
Reports claim the Gunners have seen a 20million euro (£17.2million) bid accepted by the German and European champions for the Brazilian midfielder and a deal could be pushed through before the end of the week.
Gustavo has fallen out of favour under new boss Pep Guardiola, who has added Thiago Alcantara to the Bayern midfield this summer, and he is keen to move on to secure regular football to give himself the best possible chance of being included in the Brazil squad for next summer's World Cup.
The 26-year-old admits he is looking to leave the Allianz Arena before the transfer window closes and has revealed he would welcome the chance to join Arsenal.
"The Premier League is a great competition. Arsenal have a lot of tradition. I need a team that has space to play," he told ESPN Brasil.
"It's a delicate situation. I'm looking for the best option, the best decision. I am going to have to play, to stay in shape and carry on being called up [for Brazil]."
It would seem as if Gustavo's move to Arsenal will be completed in the coming days as the player is keen on a move to the Emirates Stadium, and Bayern are happy with the Premier League side's offer, although there have been reports Napoli are also interested in the midfielder.
