Salomon Kalou has revealed he would like to sign a new contract with Chelsea, despite interest from Arsenal.
The 26-year-old is due to fall out of contract in the summer and reports have claimed he will be heading for the exit door as Chelsea plan a clear out at the end of the season.
The striker hardly figured under Andre Villas-Boas, making just four appearances in seven months, but he returned to the side against Benfica and went on to score the only goal of the game to put Chelsea within touching distance of the Champions League semi-finals.
Premier League rivals Arsenal and Tottenham have both been linked with a move for the Ivory Coast star but the player has not ruled out signing a new deal at Stamford Bridge.
When quizzed over whether he would like to stay Kalou revealed: "Yes. I have been at the club for six years, I enjoy being here.
"Everyone feels like family at the club. There is no reason why I don't want to stay."
The decision could still be taken out of the player's hands and if Chelsea do decide to let him go there will be no shortage of clubs ready to take the striker in the summer.
