Adrian Lopez has dismissed rumours linking him with Arsenal and insists he is very happy with Atletico Madrid.

Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is a keen admirer of the Spaniard and could have the opportunity to bring him to the Emirates Stadium if he activates the £15.1million release clause in his contract.

However, the 25-year-old says he is ignoring all the rumours about a possible move to Arsenal and is staying focused on doing well for his current employers.

"I try to isolate myself from the rumours," Lopez revealed. "We are used to them and do not take them seriously. I am very happy at Atletico.

"I am happy here and it is my intention to continue here.

"The good thing at the moment is that the team is doing very well. I would like to stay for a while yet."
