Valencia are eyeing Arsenal's Olivier Giroud as a replacement for Tottenham-bound Roberto Soldado, according to reports.
Soldado is closing in on a move to White Hart Lane after the club activated the £26million release clause in his contract.
Should the Spaniard leave Los Che, reports stemming from French Daily L'Equipe and Spanish radio station Cadena Ser claim Giroud is their number one target to replace him.
The 26-year-old only moved to the Emirates Stadium last summer in a £9.6million deal from French side Montpellier, bagging 17 goals in all competitions in his maiden English season.
It remains to be seen whether Arsenal would be willing to let Giroud go so soon into his Gunners career.
A lot may rest the London club's protracted pursuit of Liverpool Luis Suarez, with boss Arsene Wenger currently ensure whether to make a third big-money bid for the Uruguay international.
