Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas is confident Arsenal target Clement Grenier will sign a new contract with the club.
The 22-year-old is one of the most-highly rated players in France and as such has been attracting attention from across Europe, with the Gunners and Juventus thought to be interested in him.
Arsenal have been reportedly leading the chase for Grenier, who has not hidden his ambition to move to the Emirates Stadium, admitting last month he would be keen on joining the Premier League club.
The France international is entering the final year of his contract at Lyon, who are loathed to let him go after he picked up les Gones' player of the season award last term.
Aulas has now stated he feels Grenier will snub Arsenal to stay at the Stade Gerland for one more season at least and is hopeful he could even extend his stay further.
"Grenier will be here next year, we're looking at a one-year extension, perhaps more," Aulas told L'Equipe.
