Lyon have warned Arsenal off making a bid for talented youngster Clement Grenier and insist he is not for sale.
Gunners boss Arsene Wenger confirmed over the weekend that Grenier is a player that interests him and that has led to suggestions a deal is virtually in the bag.
However the Lyon boss, and former Arsenal player Reme Garde, says the player would be best off staying where he is and has told the Gunners bids will not be welcome.
"I already did all I could so that he [Grenier] didn't join Nice last summer," Garde told French Radio station RMC. "I know the talent and ambition of Clement.
"He's a player who can still improve. I've told him that, at Lyon, there's everything for him to be able to continue his progress, and then go to a club where he'll establish himself as soon as he arrives. I think he's still got a little way to go at Lyon."
