Arsenal are keen on Maxime Gonalons but the player claims there is no chance of him leaving Lyon this summer.
Along with team-mate Clement Grenier, Gonalons has been the subject of transfer speculation for the majority of the summer, with reports suggesting he was on course to leave the Stade de Gerland.
The 24-year-old was linked with the Gunners earlier this year, while recent reports in Italy have suggested Napoli were close to securing a deal for the midfielder.
Gonalons admits he has been offered the chance to leave France but is content to stay with Lyon for at least one more season before reassessing his options.
Gonalons told Radio RMC: "The situation is clear. I'll stay in Lyon this year because I have to try and learn many things. I want to win with Lyon.
"I have been approached and it's always nice to know that big European clubs are following me, but I understand that the club want to keep me.
"That is good news because it shows that they have big faith in me."
