Atletico Mineiro have revealed that they would be prepared to let Arsenal target Bernard leave this summer for a fee of £22million.
The 20-year-old has been heavily linked with a move to the north London club and earlier in the week it was rumoured that he was scheduled to arrive at the Emirates for a medical although it was denied by Mineiro's director of football Eduardo Maluf.
Porto, Shakhtar Donetsk and Tottenham have also shown an interest in the Brazil international, although it appears that the Gunners are favourites to secure his services if they can meet the asking price.
Bernard has scored 11 goals in 61 games for Mineiro and he played a key role in helping his club clinch the Copa Libertadores with a penalty shoot-out win over Olimpia of Paraguay.
Maluf said: "The president has made it clear that if there is a 25m Euros (£22m) offer, he will sell Bernard and we will sign another player.
"Otherwise Bernard stays. He is young and can leave at the end of the year.
"Arsenal have denied the Bernard rumour. He is the great player of the moment."
