Arsenal face a battle to land Ciprian Marica after reports claimed Getafe are close to wrapping up a deal for the striker.
Marica is available on a free transfer after leaving Schalke at the end of last season and the player's agent claimed earlier in the week that Arsenal were leading the chase for his signature.
However, the 27-year-old does have options and Getafe could offer him the chance of a move to La Liga.
The Spanish outfit are also in the hunt for former Gunners star Yossi Benayoun, but if a deal fails to materialise then they will turn their attentions to Marica, who has also played for Shakhtar Donetsk.
West Ham are also in the running and Arsene Wenger will have to move quickly if he wishes to secure the signing of Marica.
