Roma are set to step up their attempts to land Gervinho by offering Arsenal £7million for the Ivory Coast forward.
The Italian outfit have already failed with one bid of £6.2million but new boss Rudi Garcia is keen to land his man and will up his bid to £7million in the hope that will be enough to secure a deal.
Garcia knows Gervinho well from his time in charge of French side Lille when they won the Championship in 2011 and the Frenchman wants a reunion at the Stadio Olimpico.
Reports claim that Roma are willing to include Pablo Osvaldo in a part-exchange but Arsene Wenger is only interested in a straight cash deal so he can put the money towards a move for Luis Suarez.
