Anderlecht defender Cheikhou Kouyate has revealed he would jump at the chance to join Arsenal if they pursued their interest in him.
Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is looking to strengthen his defence in the summer and the highly-rated 23-year-old is a player he has been watching for some time.
Anderlecht managed to keep hold in the summer after he impressed at the Olympic games but it is thought he will be on the move at the end of this season and Arsenal could make a move.
Kouyate insists he is happy where he is but admits he would find it tough to turn down an approach from the Gunners.
"Everyone says you should take things one step at a time, but If Arsenal come then I have no doubt," he revealed.
"When I played at Brussels, Arsene Wenger was already in touch with me. Arsenal have been following me for such a long time, but I had to get my (Belgian) passport. That now seems in order."
