Turks target Gunners striker

Marouane Chamakh could be set to end his Arsenal hell by signing for Turkish outfit Fenerbahce when the window opens.

The Morocco international is completely out of the picture at the Emirates Stadium and has not played a minute of Premier League football this season, while he only managed one top-flight start in the last campaign.

Chamakh has figured in the Carling Cup this season but he is surplus to requirements and boss Arsene Wenger will be delighted if he can get him off the wage bill next month.

The 28-year-old, who signed from Bordeaux in 2010, has been heavily linked with a return to France but a move to Turkey could be on the cards as Fener look to replace Cameroon striker Henri Bienvenu.
