Wenger, by contrast, has let the likes of Mathieu Flamini, Gilberto, Jens Lehmann and Alexander Hleb all leave the Emirates since the start of summer, while he has kept his chequebook firmly shut with the exception of Samir Nasri's arrival.
And while it has been reported that the Frenchman did have a £14million bid for Liverpool's Xabi Alonso rejected late on Monday night, Wenger says he is far from concerned.
"We have the squad to cope with every problem we face during the season," said Wenger.
"I really think it's more interesting for us to look at our strengths and at our quality rather than looking outside. I know that makes headlines but it doesn't win games."
