Wenger calls for focus

Arsene Wenger has called on Arsenal to stay focused after they moved five points clear of arch rivals Tottenham in fourth.

The Gunners are in a great position to clinch third place in the Premier League after crushing Wolves 3-0 at Molineux on Wednesday night but Wenger says his players cannot relax for a second.

The Frenchman is well aware that it is not too long ago since Tottenham themselves were in a similar position and a poor run of form has seen them slip below the Gunners.

Wenger was delighted with the win that came courtesy of goals from Robin van Persie, Theo Walcott and Yossi Benayoun but insists there is still work to be done.

"It was overall a fantastic win," Wenger said after the game. "I'm very happy to be in this position but also very cautious as some teams were in the position we are in now before.

"We want to win our next game and from where we have come (trailing behind Tottenham at one stage) helps us be focused. We have come from very deep and being in that position helps us focus on that next game."
