Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has confirmed his interest in Napoli striker Edinson Cavani and Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha.
Wenger is keen to bolster his ranks before the closure of the transfer window but says it is difficult to land top quality players during the January transfer window.
However Wenger has been told there is money to spend and he would love to swoop for both players if they became available.
"He would cost a lot of money," Wenger said of Cavani. "Our banker lives nearby he's ready if we need him. I like him as a player."
As for Zaha, there had been suggestions it was a done deal, but Wenger has now revealed although they are interested, no offer has been made for the winger.
Manchester United are also said to be in the hunt but that is of no concern to Wenger.
"We are looking at him but at the moment we have not made any bid for him," he added. "I don't know if Manchester United are in for him. Anyway, if you call any club for any player, they will tell you Man United, Milan, Real Madrid are as well in for him but it is always difficult to know if it is true or not."
