Arsenal are reported to be lining up a £14million summer bid for France striker Loic Remy, who has been dubbed the 'new Thierry Henry'.

The Gunners boss has been showing an interest in the highly-rated 23-year-old for some time but was unable to push through a deal in January as his current club Nice were unwilling to sell.

Nice are involved in a relegation battle and will only sell in the summer so Wenger has been forced to bide his time before making a move for the striker.

Wenger is desperate to add more firepower to his ranks and is ready to turn to Remy when the window opens again in the summer, while Lyon are also said to be keen on re-signing him.
