Arsenal are expected to stick with their policy of giving young players a chance in the Carling Cup tie with Manchester City.

Gunners boss Arsene Wenger will give the likes of playmaker Jack Wilshere, winger Sanchez Watt and midfielder Aaron Ramsey a chance to prove their worth against City's superstars in tonight's League Cup showdown.

Defensive duo Kyle Bartley and Craig Eastmond may start in the Arsenal defence, 18-year-old Bartley is yet to make an appearance in league or cup for Arsenal this season while Eastmond, also 18, has played just one League Cup tie.

32-year-old Mikael Silvestre may be given a rare start to add a bit of experience to a youthful Arsenal lineup, while Phillipe Senderos may join him in the Gunners starting eleven.
