Arsene Wenger has not given up hope of winning the title and says Arsenal's game against Liverpool is now vital.

The Gunners are way off the pace in the race for the title and sit nine points behind leaders Chelsea following yesterday's 2-0 defeat at Stamford Bridge but Wenger is not giving up just yet.

It has been a poor 10 days for Arsenal which started with a 0-0 draw against Aston Villa followed by defeats to Manchester United and Chelsea and next up it is Liverpool.

Last week Wenger was talking up the importance of the Chelsea game and now he is doing the same ahead of the clash against the Reds.

"We are not in the best of positions but we will not give up," the Frenchman revealed. "It is vital against Liverpool but it was vital today and we still have lost."
