Lita tipped to move on

Reading could be ready to spark a transfer scramble after reports claimed Leroy Lita will be put up for sale in January.

The striker was attracting plenty of interest in the summer, with Premiership rivals Bolton, Blackburn, Portsmouth and Wigan all known to be keen on him.

Royals boss Steve Coppell is thought to have rejected at least one bid of £5million for the striker but now, according to latest reports, he could be willing to let him move on when the window re-opens.

Coppell is said to be unhappy with Lita hitting the headlines for the wrong reasons and if a big enough bid is made he could let him move on.

The striker has yet to find the back of the net in the Premiership after starting three games and is by no means first choice at the Madejski Stadium.

If a club come in and offer £5million again it is thought Coppell would bite their hand off.
