Gilberto has opened the door for a January move away from Arsenal by revealing he would 'gladly move' to Juventus.
The Brazilian has been made to suffer by the emergence of fellow midfielder Cesc Fabregas and has made just made three starts from the Gunners' opening 12 Premiership fixtures.
At 31, Gilberto knows his time at the top is running out and he now appears destined for a move away from north London.
He told the Daily Star: "Juventus are a prestigious club. They have overcome the problems that forced them to come back from Serie B (Juve were relegated as punishment for their part in a match-fixing scandal).
"I would gladly move to Turin. But their directors should know that I do not want to go to war with Arsenal, so if they want me they should talk to my club.
"I feel disposed towards moving to Italy. I like Serie A, despite the recent crowd trouble."
