Man City have rejected claims captain Richard Dunne is unhappy with the terms of his contract offer and insist talks are ongoing.

Reports had suggested the Republic of Ireland international could be on his way out of Eastlands if he does not more than double his wages to £70,000 a week.

But chief executive Alistair Mackintosh told the club's website: "A meeting took place yesterday between myself and Richard's representatives.

"Richard has made it clear that he is very happy at Manchester City, and we are very happy with him. The talks we are having are very constructive.

"Both Richard and the club will not be unsettled by an inaccurate newspaper story. He is committed to the club and we are committed to him."
