Wigan have confirmed an interest in Watford striker Marlon King who is also wanted by Fulham boss Roy Hodgson.
Latics and the Cottagers are both fighting relegation and want to add more firepower to their ranks for the final 15 games of the Premier League season.
Reports that King failed a Craven Cottage medical have been denied after the deal collapsed last week, and now Wigan assistant boss Eric Black has revealed his club's bid to land the £5m-rated hitman.
"We've shown an interest and it's ongoing," said Black.
"Fulham are obviously interested as well, as are another couple of clubs because he's obviously done exceptionally well for Watford this season."
