Martin Taylor could face yet more punishment after FIFA called on the FA to give him a longer ban for his tackle on Eduardo.

The Birmingham defender has just completed a three-game ban for his tackle on the Gunners star after the FA decided not to extend the punishment but FIFA have now asked them to 'reconsider' their decision.

The FA initially told FIFA they would be setting a 'dangerous precedent' if they increased the ban but FIFA are sticking by their guns and want the FA to think again.

FIFA have sent a letter to the FA asking them to 'once again review the incident in detail and reconsider the situation'.

Eduardo has forgiven Taylor for the tackle, while players from both sides have said that the defender did not mean to cause serious injury. However FIFA are refusing to let the matter rest and want further action against the player.
