A first-half goal from Tuncay secured Middlesbrough a 1-0 Premier League win over rock-bottom Derby at the Riverside Stadium.
The Turkey striker scored in the 31st minute to bag the only goal in a poor game played in a horrible snow storm to earn Gareth Southgate's men three valuable points and move them above Wigan in the table.
Tuncay linked up well with Stewart Downing and George Boateng down the left before driving into the penalty area and cleverly finishing past the wrong-footed Roy Carroll.
Derby were in disarray in defence and always looked vulnerable but they almost managed to grab an equaliser towards the end when Robert Earnshaw headed wide with the goal at his mercy.
