Wasps captain Lawrence Dallaglio will face a disciplinary hearing on Tuesday after being cited for an alleged punch.

The incident which involved Leicester prop Julian White happened during the closing stages of the two teams' EDF Energy Cup semi-final and it is the first time Dallaglio has been cited during his 18-year club career.

If he is found guilty the former England captain, who is set to retire from the game at the end of the season, could face a two-to-eight week suspension.

The 35-year-old saw the chances of ending his career with an appearance in the final of EDF Energy Cup disappear as Wasps were defeated 34-24 on Saturday and they have also bowed out of this season's Heineken Cup.

However, his club are still chasing a place in the end-of-season Premiership play-offs, and Dallaglio will be hoping to play a major part in the run up to the end of the season.

The club's final game of the regular season is against Leeds on May 10 and the play-off semi-finals and final are scheduled for May 17 and 31 respectively.
